The Game Awards 2017 están a la vuelta de la esquina y además de dar a conocer los 102 nominados que pelearan por una estatuilla, la organización anunció que durante la gala habrá grandes anuncios y presentaciones de juegos nuevos! El próximo 7 de diciembre conoceremos a los ganadores durante una gala que contará además con la presentación de la banda Phoenix. Pero la gran novedad la anunció Geoff Keighley, creador y productor del evento, que aseguró que además de los premios habrá alrededor de 12 nuevas presentaciones.

En un video la organización mostró algo del trabajo que lleva montar una gala del tamaño de The Game Awards y es ahí donde el mismo Keighley explica que la cantidad de anuncios aún puede variar ya que la última decisión queda en manos de los desarrolladores y las compañías. Pero de todas formas asegura que la expectativa es que la edición cuente con la mayor cantidad de anuncios hasta la fecha. El año pasado uno de los grandes momentos de la gala se dio con el esperado adelanto de Death Stranding y la presentación del gameplay de The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

Este año los juegos más nominados Cuphead, Mario Odyssey, Horizon Zero Down, Persona 5, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild y PUGB.
